Malcolm McPhail heads up Greater Manchester sports trust Life Leisure, which boasts more than 17,000 members and in excess of 600 staff.
Chief executive of the trust, Malcolm is a former operations director of a multi-national fitness company and boasts a rich sporting pedigree, having previously worked as a physical education teacher and competed at international level in the 400 metres hurdle!
Malcolm, previously a director and board member of UKActive, still competes in athletics at masters levels – across the United Kingdom and Europe.
He also appears on the board of the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA).
